Lamudi, Global real estate portal has launched an Android app to help house hunters in the country find property on the go.
The Android app called “Lamudi: Real Estate for Sale and Rent” introducing an on-the-go house/property hunting. The app hosts more than 400,000 property listings from Asia, the Middle East, Latin America and Africa giving international house-hunters a free mobile platform to buy, rent or sell real estate on an Android device.
The app is designed to meet the growing demand for mobile internet services in the emerging markets specifically on Android devices. Recent figures from Statcounter reveal that Android remains the dominant mobile platform worldwide and in the Philippines, Android is the most popular platform capturing more than 60 percent of the local mobile market.

The launch of Lamudi’s Android app follows the successful roll out of the company’s iOS app in four countries last week. The iOS app is currently available in Pakistan, Mexico, Colombia and Morocco, with more countries from the Lamudi network to be added soon.

One key feature of the app is the match alert function, which notifies users as soon as a property that meets their needs goes up for sale. Also, users can create a list of favorites, allowing them to bookmark properties for easy access to property information.
